Baby Solid Food Helper ("the App") is a native iOS application designed for planning infant complementary feeding, developed by the KIDAI team. The App takes your and your baby's privacy very seriously. This policy is intended to clearly explain how the App handles data.

What data do we collect?

The App does not collect any personally identifiable information or send it to external servers. All information you enter in the App, including:

  • Your baby's name, birthday, and age information
  • Allergen settings and preferred-ingredient records
  • Weekly complementary feeding plans and meal-prep history
  • "Liked / Neutral / Disliked" recipe reaction statistics
  • Parent title (e.g. Daddy, Mommy)

The above data is stored only locally on your device (native SwiftData storage) or in your personal iCloud account (CloudKit). The App developer, the KIDAI team, and any third party cannot read, access, or obtain this data.

How your data is stored

The App uses Apple's native SwiftData (on-device storage) and iCloud CloudKit (cloud sync):

  • On-device (SwiftData): When the device is offline or not signed in to iCloud, all data is stored entirely on your device and is accessible only by you.
  • Cloud (Apple CloudKit): When your Apple ID is signed in and iCloud is enabled, App data is automatically encrypted and synced to your private CloudKit container (Private Database). This data is accessible only by you via the same Apple ID, and Apple safeguards it under its enterprise privacy standards.

The App developer builds, operates, and accesses no proprietary backend server or database. "Zero server contact" is a core design principle.

What third-party services do we use?

The App never uses the following types of third-party services:

  • Any third-party analytics or behavioral tracking SDK (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
  • Any advertising network or commercial marketing tracking tool
  • Any social-media login or sharing SDK
  • Any crash-collection or log-upload service (other than Apple's system-level anonymous crash reports)

The only external service the App uses is Apple iCloud / CloudKit, provided by Apple Inc. and governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Children's and infants' privacy

The App is designed to be operated by parents or primary caregivers to record and plan infant complementary feeding. We deeply understand the sensitivity of infants' personal data (such as name, birthday, and allergy history), so our architecture ensures that:

  • All of your baby's personal data is never transmitted to the developer's or any third party's servers
  • Data remains entirely on the parent's device and personal iCloud account
  • The App aligns with COPPA (the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and the spirit of related child-privacy protections

Data deletion

You have full control over your own data:

  • In-app erase: Go to "Profile" → "Erase All Data" to wipe both the device's local SwiftData and all data in the iCloud CloudKit private container at once.
  • Delete the App: Removing the App from your device clears the local data. To also clear the iCloud backup, go to "Settings" → "Your Name" → "iCloud" → "Manage Account Storage" and remove it manually.

Disclaimer

The complementary feeding recipes and age-based suggestions provided by the App are based on general infant feeding principles and are for reference only; they do not constitute medical advice. Every baby differs in constitution, allergies, and developmental pace, so please assess based on your child's actual situation, and consult a qualified pediatrician or dietitian if you have any concerns. The App assumes no legal liability for any health or safety issues arising from following its suggestions.

Policy changes

If this Privacy Policy is updated, we will revise the content on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you within the App. We recommend reviewing this page periodically for the latest information.
